I need help choosing a textbook. I teach French I-IV, and we currently use Allez, viens! I love the supplementary materials, but am leaning against Bien Dit because I have read that the vocabulary is a little impractical. I am currently looking at D'accord and T'es branche? Does anyone have any experiences with these series? Our school is looking to add an AP French course to our program, so I need something that will prepare students for that. I love that D'accord has so many online activities for students, but I have read that it has some sequencing errors (for example activities will require students to use grammar structures that haven't even been introduced yet). I want to move at a fast pace with my classes, but I want a book that will truly help them master the concepts. I have not been able to find much feedback about T'es branche? since it is newer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
James in Belgium I wish to make a comment on sequencing. Jill, you write that "students are required to use grammar not yet introduced".

Can you give clarification ? : the student is required to "generate the grammar" or the student is required to "decode and understand grammar" in order to generate a response that uses content that has been introduced" ? ...See More

Jill Thanks for responding James. I am not sure about the sequencing errors myself (if any exist). In reading reviews online, someone brought up an example that an early chapter has activities requiring students to use the passe compose without any prior mention. So I was just trying to get a feel for the book and see if any teachers have had any issues...See More
