Hi all,

I am attempting to teach my son and daughter German. It's been many years since I had classes myself. I used Deutsch Heute way back when. I currently have level 1 of Muzzy, but we need to move on from there and I don't where to go. Money is a bit tight, as I recently got laid off from the school I was teaching at. I also homeschool and none of our local middle/high schools offer German. Can someone please tell me a good resource/book or such I can use. If I knew what to look for on Ebay, I'd even go there! Right now I'm improvising, some Berlitz tapes I picked up a few years back and a "10 minutes a day" work book. I need to start teaching verb tenses, der, die, das and all those fun things. Please help! This is important to me on many levels, as a real teacher, parent, German descendant, and of course, for their grade. (Their homeschool program offers Latin.) Thanks so much!

Jill Have you checked what your local library has for sale? Ours has several shelves of German stuff. None of it has been over $4. Spanish stuff flies off the shelves but not German.
