    Keith,

    Yes, it is important for students to know how to resuscitate
    someone if a parent, a friend or a loved one has a life-
    threatening emergency. AED training is vital to survival of
    adults in cardiac arrest. Many people have died as a result
    of people being untrained and/or not having an AED readily
    available. I currently teach staff members of schools these
    skills, but if more people are trained, more victims of
    cardiac arrest can be helped.
