I am a student teacher and haven't had much experience in the
classroom yet, but I just took a course learning about
childhood obesity and low esteem in the classroom. I think it
would be beneficial to pull those girls whom are bullying
aside and talk to them about their behavior. Make it know
that it is not acceptable. If you are unable to do that you
could also try and be an encouragement to the heavier child.
You have a great influence in your kids lives and hearing
words of affirmation can build great confidence.
