Ted Neckties? I never knew that. Wow! If this is the fourth leading cause of death in America, why aren't more people talking about this?

Probably because it hasn't happened to them yet And because dying as a RESULT of hospital care is such an unsettling concept that we comfort ourselves by hoping it only ever happens to somebody else.
