Post: Bathroom Humor
Posted by Texmas on 9/09/05
Setup:
Almost every school these days has portables, or
outbuildings, or annexes, whatever you want to call them.
They are nice in the fact that they provide teachers with
their own little world away from the distractions of the
bigger school building. These units are pretty much self
contained with their own little unisex bathrooms. In our
school the Pre-K classes have been put in these buildings.
Story:
While taking care of my regular duties. One of my friends
who is currently a Para, but working towards her
certification in EC-4, came walking down the hall and
stopped me and grinned.
She says with some level of seriousness, "I am dropping out
of the program today."
Very concerned, I asked, "Why is that? I thought your
passion is to be a teacher?"
She replies, "Well it was, but I had to go out to Mrs. XX
Pre-K class today and as I entered the door I saw a little
boy, through the half-open bathroom door, sitting on the
toilet yelling, 'I'm throoooogh. I need yoooou. Where are
yoooou? I'm ready now."
She says, "If I want to wipe butts all day I will stay at
home and have more children of my own. I certainly don't
have to spend all of that money on text books and classes
to learn how to wipe other's childrens' butts."
I had to laugh a little. I hope she isn't serious.
