Post: huh?
Posted by Millie on 12/10/07
I was talking with one of my Hispanic students yesterday
and explaining that in English, the word baby ends in y but
it sounds like e. I said you know like in Spanish they
spell it bebe and sometimes call the baby that. She said
they called her little brother bebe because "they couldn't
spell Eddie". I know I gave her the strangest look. I
couldn't help it!
