    Why the heck would that be illegal??? You certainly have
    access to other more personal information on each student and
    I'm sure respect and protect privacy as appropriate.

    The district has the ultimate right to govern and protect
    computer use. I would keep the passsword cards and ignore
    this teacher.

    Or you'll just have to take a risk and ask your technology
    director or principal (beware, the answer you get might not be
    the one you want)
