Hello all! Hoping I might be able to get some advice. I work at a public charter school that is currently next to a public library, which we use through an agreement. Plan are being discussed to relocate the school to another part of town in a couple of years. They are not going to have a library in the new building. If I am asked back at that time, what can I contribute? I was thinking about a virtual learning commons with access to databases and various references any time of day. I could also help them use these tools in the classroom, using the whole school as a library. Beyond keeping my job, my biggest worry is students knowing how to use actual books and maybe even reading for fun (imagine!). Any advice on the idea of the whole school being a library, setting up a virtual commons, and/or ebooks? Anybody else already in this situation?
