    I get mine at a teacher store--many have sales & coupons off
    (check their website) this time of year. Also, I have gotten
    posters of my local NFL football team from various promotions
    at businesses in my area.

    Also, I have used pictures from calendars-anything from cars
    to animals.

    You can also get pics from your computer's clip art, trace
    them as large as needed using a transparency on an overhead
    projector, and then color them in using crayons.

    You really do not need a lot of decorations to start the
    year. You can put up student work.

    Also, you might ask a veteran teacher in your building if
    they have anything you could use.

    BTW, our principal wants a calendar in every room, so I just
    got one from a local business & put it up.
