Most teachers post class rules and consequences. When a students breaks a rule, how do you handle it? Do you write their name on the board and tell them which rule they broke? What if they continue to disrupt the lesson, do you write a check next to their name and issue a consequence after class? Some teachers just write on a pad or a grade book and the kids don't know if it was them or someone else who got marked down. Need to be proactive and have been reading Wong's First Days of School. These are eighth grade music students who do not sit at desks that I am asking about.
