Re: Montessori online training
Hi Ami, I am currently taking the NAMC training. And, I find
it...lacking greatly. I am actually quite dissapointed in
their curriculium. I really know more from reading all the
books by MM. I will say they provide a great cd with
material so you don't have to create so much yourself. I
signed a contract with them for all their ages (8000.00$) & I
am wishing I could get out of it. I thought it was something
other than it was. IF you were a homeschooler who had no
clue I'd say get their albums to get you started but that'd
be if you were against creating your own material. I know my
money would be better spent on Material & I'm so sad that I
have wasted this money with the hopes of making my children's
lives better. I am an unschooler of 3 children, 10,9&
22months.
As to what was said about a school wishing for someone with
NO training I can believe it. I think NAMC gives you just
enough rope to hang yourself with rather than save you. But,
that's my opinion. If you have any other questions holler.
But, I'd say, buy MM's books & others of the like, take
8000.00 & buy your own materials. If you need a school then
volunteer as an aide. I'm going to do that in the hopes of
learning more. Sheesh...8000.00...don't waste your money.
