Hello-Congratulations on your new classroom. Our family loves
Montessori. We are in our second Montessori generation among
the younger family members. I have been a substitute teacher in
both 4-6 and (more often) 9-12 classrooms at a public
Montessori Magnet school our children attended. I observed that
some children seemed jaded and even bored when the third year
rolled around even though they basically enjoyed Montessori and
liked and respected their teachers. Exposing them to the next
intellectual challenge offered in Montessori materials helped a
lot. Focus on the next level up even if it means sending them
to an upper level class occasionally.
Good luck, Flora
