Hello, first off, let me say I totally sympathize with you as
I have had very aggressive children like this in the past and
it really disrupts the entire atmosphere. You must keep this
child near you and sometimes it's a matter of staying near
him! (you or your assistant). These are the children that
need our guidance the most. Also you can sit him down at a
table within full view of the other children and tell him you
will bring him things to do until he can behave peacefully in
the room. You can tell him directly that until he will act
without harming others, he has to stay with you or stay in
the chair. Of course, give lots of positive attention for
appropriate behavior and try to start each day off on a good
start. Definitely have a conference with the parents as soon
as possible. Give them clear examples of how he is acting
out and how it is affecting other children. Ask them to talk
to him about it and to let him know that you are working
together to help him behave differently. I know, it's all
easier said than done. Good luck
