My granddaughter told me last week that although she loved her new
school, she liked Montessori better and missed it. I asked her what
it was that she missed, and she said the "rules". She said Montessori
had better rules. The rules at her new school were that the teacher
told them what to do all the time. She made the transition much
better then her mother did, who NEVER made the transition. She hated
school from day one. I think children can not always verbalize what
is not right for them in traditional school, but they definitely know
that it is not what it should and can be. maureen
