Have you observed any other Montessori classes in action? Do
you have an assistant? One great technique to use is called
"the waiting spot" - basically a certain chair set out in the
room where children who need help can go. As part of the
introduction to this procedure, you explain that anyone can
come to help - another student, or one of the teachers. This
really gives the children a way to seek help without
disturbing your lesson. Hang in there
