I have taught Multiage for 14 years. We do the first grade
curriculum one year and then the second grade curriculum for
Science and Social Studies. We rotate our community service
projects, field trips, and seasonal projects as well. In math
we group by ability using a high and low mixed class. In
reading we do the same with some instruction on grade level
and some on individual level. Go check out the grade specific
curriculum and start a rotation. It helps make sure that your
Multiage students are just as prepared for third grade. Hope
this helps and enjoy Multiage.
