Did you remind the principal about the scheduled prayers? If
he or she doesn't listen, then say the Our Father and the Act
of Contrition before the meditation. Saying them before the
meditation will help focus their attention and get them ready
for the meditation. Then the afternoon announcements won't
interfere.
