Basically, your class makes/writes out cards for all the states
that join - hopefully all! I provide the list of addresses.
Parents can donate stamps or your office may take care of postage.
Set aside some time in class to make/address the cards, mail them
out, then wait for your mail to come in! We like to track the mail
on blank USA maps for each child, and also a large one in our
hallway. I post the cards up in the hall too, so everyone can see
where the cards are from, and to share the holiday joy! It really
is minimal effort, maximum return project. Have I convinced you
yet? I hope!
I visited AZ for the first time last summer - it is such a
beautiful place! The 116 degree heat that first day was a shock,
though!
Please le me know if you'd like to join us for this :)
