I would never judge a teacher by where she taught, any more
than I would judge a hospital by how sick the patients were
that were admitted. I am a public school teacher, but would
probably prefer to teach in a private school if the pay were
equal. However, if a teacher came into my school with the
attitude that she could "teach circles" around the rest of
us, I think it might be human nature for everyone to try to
prove her wrong. I may be alone in this, but feel that as a
new teacher, I would be more likely to impress others by
asking for advice and respecting their expertise than by
trying to prove my own superiority.
