I didn't answer bc I have no experience in the geography field. I
will tell you that the job market for professors in general is not
good. Many universities are either not replacing professors or
changing the position to adjunct or "academic professionals" AKA
underpaid slaves with NO tenure track. No worth the time and
effort of a PhD, not to mention the cost if you do not have an
assistantship.
