I read that book just this year. It was really motivating! I'm teaching
at a local community college. They do have an assessment that they use for
the class I'm teaching (Physics). The students take it at the beginning of
the class and at the end. At least it is some sort of metric for me to
figure out how well I'm getting the information across and where I need to
focus my lecture. Community college is so different than standard 4 year
colleges. Because the professors don't have the research requirements,
teaching is what they focus on.
