Ten - fifteen years ago there were at least a dozen books (maybe more) that everyone was reading and talking about Mosaic of Thought, Strategies that Work, On Solid Ground, Conversations, Reading with Meaning...I could go on but you know what I mean. Are there those definitive books now? In your opinion, what would they be?

Roveen Thanks, Judy, I know what you mean. When I first read Strategies that Work, I couldn't put it down and then someone said that I should have read Mosaic of Thought first and I immediately ordered it and read it, too. These books as well as others made such a difference in my teaching and classroom. I've since left the classroom and work as half-time...See More

dc Terry! Is this my class pen pal Terry in Florida? How are you? I miss those rich discussions too. I have not been here at teachers.net in a long time. I visit pinterest and blogs and get inspired to "do" things, but nothing stimulates my brain and my thinking like those rich discussions we all used to have here!
