I think your way of teaching sounds like Hitler’s way of
teaching!!. Times have changed and teachers need to change
with the times. Things that may have worked in the past may
not be working anymore!! Teachers should be open to using new
strategies and techniques. I agree that students should learn
how to sit and focus and be able to complete worksheets however
there needs to be a balance between quiet/independent time and
small group center time. Try having students read silently
while you work with a small group. Also, games should not be
confusing if you teach it to them whole group first. Try it…It
works!!
