I need some ideas on how to help children read more. What have you done to make this happen?

At home or at school? I'd say read aloud to them if you're a good aloud reader - if not, get some tapes of appropriate books- listeninglibrary.com had great ones - not sure if it's still around.

retired Keep in mind that many of your students have no books at home to read, so they have no idea what they'd like to read, or even that they would like to read anything.
