I sautee onions in a skillet and set them aside.
Then, brown hamburger in the same pan, but drain the grease.
Season the hamburger a little with Worcestershire sauce.
Sometimes I add a small can of diced green chile peppers.
For the sauce I usually use my favorite BBQ sauce----which of
course, varies with taste and region.
Here in AZ, I use Bill Johnson's BBQ sauce--it is sweet with
the right amount of tang.
No matter what bottled sauce I use, I always add some of my
own ketchup and brown sugar mix (equal parts, stirred up).
I really dislike slippy joes made with Manwich or any other
type of tomato sauce.
