Skills/ Requirements

• Success / strength as a teacher beforehand is almost a necessity unless a candidate has other exceptional skills/talents. • Knowledge and experience with direct instruction programs, AP and other advanced curricula, and in general, a high level of curricular and instructional knowledge is preferred. • Bachelor's degree or higher is required. • Content area degrees are preferred (in addition to degree(s) in Education). • Experience as a principal is not required nor does it necessarily give any preference.
