Program Director for Global Partnership Schools
(Part time position)

Supervises: Lead Coach, Administrative Assistant, and
several Teachers
Schedule: Flexible, based on needs of district
Global Partnership Schools (GPS) is introducing SES
programs at multiple schools in the Stamford – Norwalk, CT
area. SES programs are designed to provide additional
instruction after school to increase the academic
achievement of low income students attending Title I
schools as identified as “in need of improvement” by the US
Department of Education.
We need an effective educational “insider” to start up and
maintain these programs. Duties include hiring and training
tutors, recruiting students, starting and overseeing
operations, building strong relationships with
stakeholders, supervision, and compliance.
Background
Manuel J. Rivera and Rudy Crew, recent National
Superintendent of the Year winners with proven records, are
the leaders of GPS. They will lead the transformation of
public education and introduce new systems for the
management of school change throughout the United States.
Global Partnership Schools is an education company that
will specialize in services to urban students who are at
risk of failure. We will use a customized, student-centered
approach, research-based best practices, national and
international benchmarking, technology-enhanced learning,
and an emphasis on outcomes and accountability. Our goal
is to develop a network of partnerships with public schools
across the United States.
During the upcoming school year, GPS will offer SES
Programs in possibly 7 states. The company will employ
specially trained teachers who commit to engage parents as
partners and customize instruction based on individual
student needs.

Criteria for Response:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred)
- School Administrator Certification preferred
- Knowledge of the Public Schools systems in
Connecticut
- 3 years experience as an administrator / after-
school coordinator
- Teaching certification, preferably dual-certified
- Certification areas: ESOL Special Ed, Reading,
or Elementary
- Experience conducting effective Professional
Development
- Bilingual preferred
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Evidence of successfully raising student
achievement
- Ability to work with admin, staff, parents,
students, and others
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Timely, reliable and accurate record-keeping
abilities
- Strategic thinker and problem solver
- Strong project management capability
- Excellent perf. appraisals / references from
past employers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Internet
- Must pass finger-printing and background check
