I'm a neuroscience researcher working at UCLA and I would like to start doing science demonstrations (primarily biology) in schools. Things like looking at slides with microscopes, growing bacterial cultures, isolating DNA.

As a science teacher, what would you like to be able to show your students, but can't because you don't have the experience or equipment?

How much (if anything) would you be able to pay for a 1 or 2 hour demonstration?

Lastly, what grade do you teach and are you at a public/private school?

Thank you for all your input!

(I am currently in Los Angeles but will be relocating the summer of 2015 to the DC area.)
