Post: Type 3 error

I have an old Power Mac 5500 that runs everything but MS
Word. I'm trying to use Word 4. from a Mac disc I had but I
get this message. The application "unknown" has
unexpectedly quit because an error of type 3 occurred".
What does this mean? If this disc won't work is there
anyway I can buy a version of MSWord that would run on this
computer? Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me
solve this problem.
