Re: New Technology Teacher--website

Check out the post on the Computer Tech board by Jerry as he has lots of useful links. After attending a tech conference last month, I plan to focus on 3 or 4 new ideas and do thelm well. I started mid-year in the lab last year and the kids were less than thrilled that I had them focus on certain programs and MS Office rather than "play games" all the time. But I feel they need to learn to really use programs for reports, do research, etc. that are age appropriate. Here is one idea I will be adding this year from one of the sessions that I attended. Using an index card, have the student's name at the top, a line below that says...I need to work on ... and then math symbols below. I'm also adding the teachers name and grade and laminating them. Then the teacher can use a vis-a-vis and mark what that student should practice in math since I have no idea with over 300 students waht level each of them are at. Good Luck to you all.
