I just discovered polleverywhere.com this week and am
definitely intrigued by it. We have a couple sets of clickers
at my middle school, but I don't have the software installed
on my computer yet, so I haven't tried them with my students.
Since all of my seventh graders have laptops in class every
day, polleverywhere.com would be SO much easier. I would have
to get special permission to allow my eighth graders to use it
with their cell phones, but I know they would love it. I
would, however, be sure to limit the eighth graders' responses
to selecting preset options--there are a few boys who would
definitely take advantage of the ability to enter anonymous,
open-ended responses.
