Yes, homework helps my students to achieve. It builds good
study skills and helps a lot with vocabulary. However, I
think it is critical to choose wisely. Homework assignments
should be something that you plan to revisit in class. It
should be something that is very clearly integral to helping
students to process the information you are teaching. You
should communicate why you are assigning the homework. I
point out the ways that my students are improving from
completing the assignments.
