Dear Educators,
Introducing the AFS Global Connections' Program
The next time you meet students, parents, counselors,
teachers and/or friends who might be interested in an
exchange experience - nominate them through AFS Global
Connections! Your nominees will receive an automatic
program fee discount of $75 and can apply to the AFS Global
Leaders' Scholarship program for even more financial
assistance (http://www.afsusa.org/scholarships). AFS
partners with 54 countries. Please, look at all available
scholarships, but note that the full
NSLI and YES scholarships deadlines are February 2, 2009.
AFS Global Connections also recognizes your contribution by
giving you Connection Credits for each nomination. You can
redeem Credits for an AFS-logo fleece, accumulate enough to
give your favorite outbound student a $1000 scholarship, or
even pay for a 2 week intercultural trip to Thailand.

booklets featuring all of the counties, please, call 1-800-
AFS-INFO. They may also be seen on line.
AFS will be glad to make presentations to any of your
classes. Just give your local AFS a call at 800-876-2377

families for the fall.
