Yes, in my state (Texas) there is no specific credential required
to be a Director of Technology. It is up to each individual
district. In my district, the Director of Technology has a
bachelor's degree with teaching experience and technology
applications certification. He is the only central office
administrator who is not required to have at least a master's
degree.
