In my district, all elementary students have direct technology
applications instruction twice a week, for a total of 50 minutes
(25 minutes each day.) They have a specific state-adopted
curriculum that is delivered online. The person responsible for
this instruction is a paraprofessional. In my state (Texas),
there are also learning standards for technology that classroom
teachers are required to integrate into their instruction.
, so students also have access to technology in the regular
classroom
