If you've never tutored before you can start with a company
to gain the experience and get a consistant paycheck. I can
recommend Wyzant. I have worked with them and seem to like
it. You can also post on Craigslist. Get ready for spam
from random people asking you to tutor their children from
England, Belgium, S. Africa . .wherever. I set up an email
address that I use only for Craigslist, because people send
you random messages. Meet your students in the library,
etc. The only bad thing about doing it on your own is that
when parents have to cancel, you're out of money for the
week. Get with the elementary schools, Per No Child Left
Behind they offer tutoring for students at Title 1 schools.
You can make $30-40/hour.
Good luck!
