Post: Help Needed by Microphone

Okay I finally get a microphone tonight so I can start
scanning books and recording myself reading them to show
on my Smartboard. Well I plugged in the microphone and
clicked the button that said configure and NOW the sound
on my computer won't work - Just fuzzy sounds! Help
before my husband finds out!!! What can I do to fix this
problem? Thanks!
