I have a Promethean Board, and I love it. I was told that the
difference is that the Promethean Boards are designed by
teachers, for teachers. I've never used a Smart Board, but
other teachers who have used them they are similar to the
Promethean Board.

Have you visited Promethean Planet? If you go to the website,
you can see the boards in use and look at videos showing tips
on how to use them. They also have a lot of lessons that are
free to download to your computer.
