In my old school, I used to teach my juniors how to do
Ukrainian eggs - complete with bees wax, kiskas, dye, eggs,
etc. At my new school, we have overhead sprinklers and
these don't work well with the candles we need to melt the
wax. I hate to give up this project as it really
strengthens students spatially and has even helped some with
geometry. Besides, it's a blast and the students love it.
Any suggestions?
