To Celebrate World Water Day 2008, we are holding an
international poster contest with the theme 'What Water
Means in My Life'
Winners from each age group will have their posters made
into a calendar for the 2009 Calendar year. After
judging, Posters will be displayed in businesses and
government buidlings in the Metro Washington, DC area.
Goals of the Contest:
Encourage youth to think about how water is important in
their lives
Increase public awareness of how youth, throughout the
world, view water in their lives
Guidelines:
Posters will be divided into 6 age groups:
Children under 5 > Age 11 - 12
> Age 5 -7 > Age 13 - 15
> Age 8 - 10 > Age 16 - 18
Anyone within these age groups can participate
Posters should be original artwork, hand drawn on 8 1/2" x
11" or A4 paper
On the back of each poster please include the following
information:

Country:
Age:
Contact Phone # or email:
If several students from the same classroom or school are
particpating, we encourage you to send all the posters in
one envelope to reduce waste.
Posters should be sent to the following addresss and
postmarked by March 22, 2008

Judging
Posters will be judged on originality, impact, and visual
message
Winners will be announced on our website and contacted
