Instead of a large rug why not do as I did. Visit a local carpet
outlet and ask for carpet sample squares. They are about 24X24
(perfect for little bottoms) and just get thrown out as new
carpet comes in or new patterns or colors are made. I have 25 in
my classroom and each child has one when we need it. It's also a
lesson in putting things away when we are finished with them.
