Hello!! I teach 5th grade in a private parochial school where there is only one teacher per grade with limited class sizes. It is a wonderful environment to teach in but does have its disadvantages when it comes to funding. ALL of our funding comes from donations and churches (little to no money). Almost everything in my classroom, I have purchased myself. Over Christmas break, I bought an I Pad. I love it and use it so much! I would love to have one or more for my classroom. I know the only way to achieve this is through a grant. I am at a bit of a disadvantage because we do not have an IT/technology teacher, grant writer, or even a full-time principal on staff. Since Christmas, I have searched online for tips and tricks to grant writing & grant availability but we usually do not qualify b/c of our overall student population, low free/reduced lunch ratio, etc. I am getting a bit discouraged and more so....overwhelmed.
