Post: TAKS Writing Help

Does anyone out there have ideas and/or strategies on how
to improve student writing on the HS TAKS. I have attended
so many seminars and tried so many "techniques" and still
only seem to get 1s and 2s. I did read some essays from San
Antonio that recieved 4s (reviving the essay) and was
shocked at what the state wants. Help!
