NEA's Read Across America site is being updated with a lot of
new features, news, and materials. We'll soon be posting
thousands of pledges from around the country and we have an e-
newsletter people can sign up with.
Just go to www.nea.org/readacross
we have new materials such as our new literacy calendar, new
posters and soon, an e-card to encourage others to get
involved.
We'll also be creating new sections with resources and
activities for elementary, middle, and high school.
Good luck and keep checking back. If you have an event you'd
like us to feature, fill out the pledge form. We also want to
hear if there are some wacky teacher or principal challenges
out there.
Best of luck!
Anita Merina
National Coordinator, NEA's Read Across America
and as you may know, NEA's Read Across America is now a year-
round literacy programs.
