Re: Middle School Read Week Ideas?
Posted by Teacher La La on 2/24/08

    Read Week
    (March 3rd -7th)

    Please devote at least 10 minutes to silent reading or reading
    aloud in your home room.
    1. Book Drawings: We will be reading quotes from novels,
    where students will have a chance at guessing the mystery
    novels and winning free books. See attached book drawing
    slips.
    2. The Reading Fairy (dressed up teacher) will be
    cruising all advisories giving out treats to students who have
    a novel during advisory.
    3. Book Drive: We will also be collecting gently used and
    new books (novels and picture books) from all the advisories;
    books will be given to needy students here in our building who
    don’t have a home library. The advisory which brings in the
    most books will be awarded a donut and juice party.
