We post a large map on the map hallway of the school. As
students read a book, take an Accelerated Reader Quiz (test
comprehension) students place a label on the map (label has
teacher name on it). Each class tries to work around the map
in alphabetical order (post a list of states next to map).
We have PTO volunteers "man" the map and help students locate
states. The kids loves our "Read Across America"
