    Post: sands of the world

Posted by Kimberly Allard on 8/04/08

I am requesting some help. I teach K-5 science lab at my
elementary school. I see ALL the students in my school; each
class for 1 hour a week. I inherited a collections of sands
from various places, including Hawaii, and even the Dead
Sea, from a retiring teacher. I thought it would be fun to
get others to contribute local sand/dirt samples from around
the country/world for my students to investigate. Please let
me know if you can participate in sending a sample (about
    1/2 cup is plenty).
