Hi, I did a traveling buddy exchange with my kindergarten class a few years ago, and it was great. I would like to find 5-6 other k/1 teachers in different areas of the country ( we are in california)that would like to do this. This is how it works. The first month of school you have a stuffed animal in your class (one that is connected to your area). Your students name him/her and write about what you are doing in class with the buddy. Than we each rotate the buddies along with a binder and book about your state every 4/5 weeks. We keep adding kid writing, photos, postcards, etc... so when it comes back to the original classes late April it is so exciting to see where the buddy has traveled and see what other kids are doing in their classes.
