I am a first year teacher at 37 and I don't think age should be a draw back. I believe the more experience you have with real world experiences, the better off you are in the classroom. Although, I do agree that it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks. An open mind is very important. The program is a 5 year program with an intense year-long internship.
